GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS
HEC Group of Institutions is committed to maintaining a disciplined, respectful, and student-centric learning environment. The following rules and regulations are designed to promote academic integrity, personal responsibility, and a safe campus culture for all.
Behavior and Ethics
- Students must maintain respectful conduct toward teachers, administrators, college staff, seniors, juniors, and visitors at all times.
- Any act of misbehavior, disrespect, harassment, or indiscipline in person or via digital platforms will result in strict disciplinary action.
- Ragging, bullying, or discriminatory behavior on any grounds is strictly prohibited and legally punishable.
Classroom and Lecture Etiquette
- Students are expected to attend classes regularly and punctually.
- Discipline and attentiveness must be maintained during lectures.
- Mobile phones must be switched off or kept on silent unless permitted for academic use.
- Leaving the class without permission from the teacher is not allowed.
Auditorium and Extracurricular Conduct
- During academic, cultural, or public events, students must arrive punctually, follow seating protocols, and behave with decorum.
- Leaving the venue mid-session or causing disturbances is strictly discouraged.
Dress Code
- The college provides two official uniforms:
- Regular Dress (compulsory): Includes summer and winter versions for daily academic use as per weather requirements.
- Sports Dress: Worn during annual or quarterly sports meets, NSS activities, or as directed.
Identity Card
- All students must carry their college ID Card at all times within the campus.
- Entry to classes, events, library, NSS activities, or any college premises during free hours without an ID card is strictly prohibited.
- Students must present their ID card when asked by any authorized personnel.
Attendance and Leaves
- As per UGC norms, 75% attendance is mandatory in every subject for eligibility in internal and external exams.
- Leaves are a privilege, not a right, and can only be availed by following proper procedures:
- Leave applications must be submitted in writing, duly signed by the student's parent/guardian, and approved by the class coordinator.
- No leave will be granted during internal or external exams (theory or practical).
- Unauthorized absence will result in penalties as per college regulations.
- Short leave during the day will only be granted in emergency cases and must be approved through proper communication between the teacher and the student's parents.
Sports and Co-Curricular Activities
- Students are encouraged to participate in sports and extracurricular activities.
- Good conduct, sportsmanship, and proper use of equipment are expected.
- Wearing the prescribed sports uniform on relevant occasions is mandatory.
Cleanliness and Property Preservation
- Students must help maintain cleanliness across all college spaces, including classrooms, and common areas.
- Scribbling, vandalism, or any damage to college property is a punishable offense.
- Any damage caused must be reported immediately and compensated by the offender.
Environmental Responsibility
- The institution promotes eco-conscious behavior and green initiatives.
- Students should avoid littering, wasting resources, or using harmful materials.
- Participation in green drives like tree plantation, waste management, and water conservation is encouraged.
Digital Conduct and Media Responsibility
- Students must act responsibly on digital platforms and refrain from sharing any derogatory, misleading, or unauthorized content related to the institution.
- Taking or sharing videos/photos of classrooms, staff, or institutional property without prior permission is strictly prohibited.
General Conduct
- Silence zones like the library and administrative offices must be respected.
- Obeying college rules is mandatory, and any violation will invite disciplinary measures ranging from warnings to expulsion, based on the severity of the offense.
- Smoking, drinking, substance abuse, or bringing prohibited items onto campus will result in immediate disciplinary action.
Note: The college reserves the right to revise these rules and introduce
new ones as and when necessary for the betterment of the academic environment. All students
are expected to stay informed and comply accordingly.
