Culture, creativity and celebration
HEC believes students need knowledge beyond the pages of books. Co-curricular activities such as the Freshers' Party, dramatics, Youth Parliament, Exordium, poetry, extempore and yoga sessions keep students actively engaged.
The college organises events celebrating national and regional culture, giving students a platform to showcase their creativity and talent, from the HEC band and theatre to annual cultural festivals.
National Service Scheme
NSS: “Not me, but you”
The National Service Scheme, launched in 1969 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, develops students' personalities through community service and nation-building. Its motto, स्वयं से पहले आप (Not Me But You), guides HEC's NSS unit.
Volunteers take part in cleanliness drives, awareness rallies, blood-donation camps and community welfare, building leadership, teamwork, empathy and a service-oriented mindset.

Seminars and workshops are organised throughout the academic year on contemporary topics across disciplines. Speakers are invited for their expertise and professional reputation, and every session is open to students of all departments.
